Riverhead Highway Superintendent said last night the truck show for kids planned at the Highway Department Saturday is postponed to Saturday, June 21 due to the inclement weather forecast this weekend.
Families are invited to the Riverhead Highway Department headquarters to see a large display of heavy duty trucks and equipment used by the Riverhead Highway Department to maintain local roads. Learn about the trucks and equipment used for paving, snow-plowing, fixing drainage systems and keeping town roads clean from Highway Superintendent Mike Zaleski.
The highway truck show will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 21. Refreshments will be available for all children in attendance.
Kids are welcome to bring their own trucks to use in the highway yard’s play area.
Riverhead Highway Department headquarters is located at 1177 Osborn Avenue in Riverhead.
