Michael C. Meyran of Mattituck died on June 4, 2025. He was 53 years old.
Michael was born on Feb. 23, 1972, in Riverhead to Nancy Johnson and Glenn R. Meyran. He married Dana (DeStefano) on Oct. 3, 2003. Together they had two children and lived in Mattituck for 21 years. In his professional career, Michael owned and operated North Fork Luxury Transporters. He was a successful entrepreneur.
He was predeceased by his parents, Nancy and Glenn. He is survived by his wife, Dana; children, Cody and Matteo; sister, Tara Hamid; and stepmother, MaryJane Meyran.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck. The liturgy of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 9, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church in Mattituck, officiated by Monsignor David Cassato. The rite of committal will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Kanas Center for Hospice Care (c/o East End Hospice) or Kait’s Angels would be appreciated. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
