Julia Helen Leonard of Southold died on June 4, 2025. She was 28 years old.
Julia was born on Aug. 24, 1996, in Ridgewood, New Jersey, to Jane A. (Nolechek) and Thomas A. Leonard. Raised in Ridgewood, she graduated from Ridgewood High School and was a member of Mount Carmel R.C. Church. Julia and her family moved to Southold in 2003.
She is survived by her parents, Jane and Thomas; and siblings, Claudia of Charleston, South Carolina, Lauren of Southold, and Madison of New York City.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold. The liturgy of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 9 at 10 a.m. at Saint Patrick’s R.C. Church in Southold, officiated by Father Abraham Thannickal. The rite of committal will be private.
Memorial donations to Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital for the benefit of Vein Finder in the emergency room would be appreciated.
